Jookabox: Weird and Chaotic Music of the Day
I was listening to a few tracks from Jookabox's new album Dead Zone Boys and man is it weird! Here's what came into my brain while listening; it is trippy and chaotic and sort of like dreaming in cartoons. It's an acid flashback driving in reverse and then suddenly waking up in a potato field in Idaho with no recollection of how you got there. It was suddenly like talking in colors and hearing in numbers. Check em out!

No Second Troy
I recently discovered No Second Troy by sheer chance of myself + internet + boredom = finding awesome music. The band name No Second Troy originated as the title of a William Butler Yeats poem, in which he struggles with the unrequited love he has for Irish revolutionary Maud Gonne. They are an indie-rock band testing the boundaries of sound with a hint of pop intermingled in their great tunes. Check em' out! Go to http://www.nosecondtroy.com for more info.

Seriously has anyone besides me heard of this band? They're fan-flippin-tastic! Hmm... well I'm sure people have heard of them, maybe just not so much here in the Motor City.
