Coheed and Cambria’s brand new fifth studio album Year Of The Black Rainbow
(Columbia) has entered the Billboard 200 at #5, selling 51,377 copies. Spurred by a series of sold-out pre-release dates and the burgeoning presence of first single “Here We Are Juggernaut,” the record’s first week sales mark a career high chart position for the band.Additionally, Year Of The Black Rainbow’s
elaborate deluxe edition, featuring a 352-page novel co-authored by Coheed’s Claudio Sanchez and best-selling author Peter David, accounted for over 15,000 of the record’s first week sales. Pre-orders for the deluxe edition necessitated a second print run well before the record’s April 13 release.(Nasty Little Man Publicity)
