"Who Threw That Ham At Me"

This afternoon as I was perusing my emails I received a press release for a group called the Superions. If you've been wondering what Fred from the B-52s has been doing, wonder no longer. I read the release and it peaked my curiousity because I used to listen to the B-52s why not give the Superions a listen? So I listened to their single called "Who Threw That Ham At Me." It is weird and goofy and silly. It's not good by any means, but it's so ridiculous and catchy that it may just catch on.

Oh sweet dive bars

The world outside is grey and tired, I am in sync with that feeling today. Last night was spent in the hazy smoke filled bars with friends and music. Starting off the evening at the local dive to console a friend going through a breakup and then moving on to the city with the most bars per square capita in this country. Good ol' Hamtrmck, me and some friends went to Smalls to have some drinks and listen to some rock/punk music. The bands that rocked the stage were Deathskin Razor, Spick of it All (Yes they are actually called that and they're all Mexican), Snakewing, and skate legend band Agent Orange. My surprise of the evening was when I ran into my friend Phil talked to him for a minute and then he disappeared and appeared on the stage as the lead singer of Snakewing. I had no idea he was in that band and he totally rocked the stage in a hardcore punk barrage of vocals. Seriously I need to start bringing my camera when I go places.
